Eileen’s Story

Every portrait is a promise to capture not just how a pet looks, but who they are.

Blending Passions

Art has always been part of my life. After leaving my corporate career in HR, I followed my passion for painting and trained in professional decorative techniques, creating hand-painted furniture, trays, and home accents sold in high-end New England boutiques. Over time, my work evolved into something far more personal, celebrating the love between people and their pets.

The eyes are always where I begin. They are the window to each animal’s heart, carrying their story, the hope, the joy, and sometimes the quiet resilience of a dog who has waited too long for love.

My studio today is filled with dog portraits, each one telling a story. Many have bright red “Adopted!” stamps on their photos, reminders of the lives changed by this art and community. My own dogs rest at my feet while I paint, surrounded by walls of soulful eyes looking back at me.

Painting Their Story

Whether I meet the dog in person or paint from photos and videos, I study every detail to understand their personality. I look for the little sparks: the way sunlight dances in their eyes, the tilt of their head, the softness in their gaze. Sometimes, I even see the reflection of their family in their eyes, which makes the portrait feel alive.

My goal is always the same: for anyone who sees the painting to feel the love that dog gives and the life within them. Each painting is a keepsake, a story, and a celebration of love.

Art Meant to Be Shared

My work is about more than paint and canvas. It is about connection. What began as a way to capture the spirit of shelter dogs has grown into a community effort that brings people together.

With the help of my nieces and nephews, I have created portraits that brighten veterinary offices, and even local restaurants—sparking conversations, raising awareness, and helping dogs find homes.

Each portrait is a reminder of the love animals give us and the way art can inspire change.

My hope is to continue growing this work, reaching more families, and celebrating the incredible bond we share with our pets.
